1) What size cutout does the Trine 2001 need in the jamb?

2) Does the Trine 2001 stay locked or unlocked when the power goes out?
It stays locked. The 2001 is fail-secure, so a power loss leaves the keeper held and the door secured from the outside. Egress from the inside is still handled by the lockset's own lever or panic hardware, not by the strike. If your opening needs to release on power loss, you want a fail-safe strike instead. Hager's 2925 and 2928 are field reversible fail safe/secure, so one body covers either mode.
3) Which voltage do I order for a Trine 2001, and will it buzz?
