1) Will the Trine 2007 electric strike drop into a standard 4-7/8 inch ANSI jamb prep?
Yes. The Trine 2007 uses a 4-7/8 x 1-1/4 inch narrow style steel face plate and fits a standard 4-7/8 inch ANSI prep with little jamb modification, in metal jambs. Behind the plate you need a cavity of 9/16 inch depth, 5/8 inch width and 1-11/16 inch height, with a mortise backset of 1-9/16 inches. It suits new construction or replacement work in metal frames.
2) What latchbolt throw will the Trine 2007 strike accept?
Locksets with up to a 5/8 inch throw, based on a 1/8 inch door gap. It takes both mortise and cylindrical locks. If your lock throws more than 5/8 inch, this is the wrong keeper size.
3) Is the Trine 2007 fail-safe or fail-secure, and can I get it fail-safe?
