WAC Lighting 24" Mercer LED Bathroom Vanity or Wall Light WS-37024

Either way works. The 24 inch Mercer WS-37024 is a wall-mounted fixture rated for up/down mounting and can be mounted on a wall in all orientations, so you can run it horizontally over the mirror or vertically as a pair flanking it. It is 24 inches wide and 4.5 inches in projection/height, with a 16.8 inch backplate, so the box location needs to fall within that backplate.

It is damp location rated and carries an IP44 rating along with ETL and cETL listings, so it is suitable for bathroom use and for covered outdoor locations. Damp rated means splashes and humidity are fine; it is not a wet location fixture for direct spray inside a shower enclosure.

Use an ELV (electronic low voltage) dimmer. The Mercer WS-37024 runs driverless ACLED technology off 120 VAC, 50/60Hz, and dims on ELV control from 100 percent down to 10 percent. A standard incandescent/TRIAC dimmer is not the specified control type here.

Yes. It is listed as Title 24 compliant and Title 20 compliant, and it is ADA compliant. Note it is not Energy Star certified, so if your rebate program specifically requires Energy Star, this fixture will not satisfy that line item.

The LED is integrated and non-replaceable, with the light source included and rated for 54,000 hours average life. There is no lamp socket, so plan on fixture replacement at end of life rather than relamping. For an MRO or multi-family maintenance program that means no bulb stock to carry for these units.

It delivers 2,481 delivered lumens at 3000K with a CRI of 90, which is enough for a single-sink vanity as the primary task light. The warm-neutral 3000K and high CRI give accurate skin tones for shaving and makeup, and the opal etched triplex glass diffuser spreads it as a flood rather than a hot spot.

Hardwired only. The Mercer WS-37024 needs a 120V junction box in the wall; there is no cord or plug option. An electrician or licensed installer handles it, and the 16.8 inch backplate covers the box.

Brushed Nickel with 3000K output, ordered as WS-37034-BN. If you are standardizing finishes across units, brushed nickel pairs with the nickel faucet and trim packages most commonly specified in multi-family bathrooms, and the single 3000K color temperature means every fixture in the building will read the same warmth with no field selection to get wrong.

Aluminum hardware with a glass diffuser, specifically opal etched triplex glass. Aluminum resists the corrosion you get from constant bathroom humidity better than plated steel, and the fixture is damp rated, which is the combination that matters for hotel and multi-family baths running exhaust fans hard.

Rated at 32W on 120V, so roughly a third of an amp per fixture. On a typical 15A bathroom branch circuit that is negligible, and it means a two-fixture vertical flanking layout still draws less than a single old incandescent vanity bar.
