WAC Lighting 24" Rondelle LED Bathroom Vanity or Wall Light WS-42524

The Rondelle WS-42524 carries a Damp location rating, so it is good for a bathroom, over a vanity, or an indoor/outdoor covered spot like a porch ceiling or soffit. It also holds an IP44 rating against splashing water. What it is not is wet-rated, so keep it out of direct spray inside a shower enclosure or anywhere exposed to driving rain.

The backplate runs 23.63 inches long on the 24 inch Rondelle, and the fixture is 7.4 inches high overall and 24 inches wide. That gives you a long, narrow strip of coverage centered on the box, so a single round or old-work box is easily hidden, but a tall patch above or below the box will still show. The driver sits inside the J box, so the box itself has to be a standard wall box with room for it.

No. The WS-42524 is not ADA compliant, so it should not be used on a corridor or circulation-path wall where protruding-object limits apply. It is fine above a vanity, in an entry, or anywhere outside the ADA protrusion zone. If your spec calls for ADA on the wall run, you need a different sconce.

The standard WS-42524 is a 120V fixture. WAC does offer 277V as a special order on the Rondelle, so if your building runs 277V lighting branch circuits, that has to be specified at the time of order rather than field-converted. Do not put a 120V unit on a 277V circuit.

It is Title 20 listed but not Title 24 compliant. For a California job where the bathroom luminaire has to count as high efficacy under Title 24, this one will not carry that line of the compliance form. It is listed ETL and cETL, so US and Canadian electrical listing is covered.

It puts out 865 lumens at 24.5W across three integrated LED heads at 3000K, with a flood distribution and thick clear glass. That is warm, even task light across a single-sink vanity when mounted above the mirror, and the up/down wall mounting spreads it on the ceiling and counter. For a double vanity or a bathroom with no other ceiling fixture, plan on a second unit or a supplementary ceiling light.

Two finishes: Aged Brass (WS-42524-AB) and Polished Nickel (WS-42524-PN). Color temperature is 3000K on both, so the finish is purely an aesthetic call and the light will look identical between them. If you are standardizing finishes across a floor of units, order all one suffix.

No bulbs to buy. The light source is an integrated LED, included with the fixture, rated at 60,000 average hours. There is no socket and no replaceable lamp, so at end of life the fixture is replaced rather than relamped. That is worth knowing for MRO stocking: you carry a spare fixture, not spare lamps.

The Rondelle WS-42524 is specified for wall mounting with an up/down orientation, which is the horizontal bar over a mirror with light thrown to the ceiling and down to the counter. Its backplate is 23.63 inches long and the fixture 24 inches wide, so turning it vertical means a two-foot strip alongside the mirror and a box located accordingly. If you want a vertical pair flanking a mirror, the shorter configurations in the Rondelle family suit that better.

Hardwired only, no cord or plug, so it needs a junction box and an electrician. Construction is die-cast aluminum hardware with thick cased glass shades, which holds up better in a high-turnover bathroom than a thin stamped housing with acrylic diffusers.
