The WAC Lighting Endurance Signage Light features continuous beam adjustment from 60 degree flood to 15 degree spot, eliminating the process of choosing beam angles. 1) Does the WAC Endurance signage light need a separate LED driver or a low voltage transformer?
No transformer, no remote driver. The Endurance signage light runs on 120V line voltage and wires direct, using WAC's driverless ACLED technology with the light engine sealed at the factory. For an electrician that means a standard 120V branch circuit into the included canopy and nothing else in the ceiling or behind the sign band.
2) Can a WAC Endurance signage light be mounted outdoors in the rain or under a wash-down?
Wet location rated, ETL and cETL listed, with an IP66 seal against high pressure water jets. It is a die-cast aluminum housing with a clear glass diffuser and a factory sealed light engine, so exterior sign bands, facades and open canopies are all in scope, and it works indoors as well.
3) How far off the sign face can the WAC Endurance signage light be set, and what rods come in the box?
Three field interchangeable extension rods ship with it, one 6 inch, one 12 inch and one 24 inch, so you set the standoff by picking rods rather than ordering a length. Past 36 inches of extension WAC calls for the safety cable, and that cable is included along with the canopy. Nothing extra to source to get it off the facade.
4) Do I have to pick a beam angle when I order this WAC signage light?
No, and that is the point of the Endurance head. The beam is continuously adjustable from a 60 degree flood down to a 15 degree spot, with detents at 15, 25, 40 and 60 degrees so you can repeat a setting across a run of fixtures. Aim is handled by a 180 degree rotatable knuckle. One SKU covers a short awning sign and a tall monument face, and a shroud that detaches lets you cut spill where a fixture sits in someone's sightline.
5) What dimmer works with the WAC Endurance LED signage light?
ELV and TRIAC dimmers both. On an electronic low voltage dimmer it runs smooth from full down to 10 percent. Put it on a line voltage ELV or TRIAC control, not a 0-10V card, and keep the whole zone on the same fixture type so the dimming curve matches.
6) Can this signage light be aimed downward from a ceiling or soffit instead of up from below the sign?
Yes. The Endurance head mounts to ceiling or wall in any orientation, so a soffit-mounted downward aim over a storefront sign is a normal install, not a workaround. Combine that with the rotatable knuckle and the rod kit and you can reach a sign face from above, below or off to the side.
7) What color temperatures and finishes does the WAC Endurance 5 inch signage light come in?
Two color temperatures, 3000K warm and 4000K neutral, each in four architectural finishes: Architectural Black, Architectural Bronze, Architectural Graphite and Architectural White. Every finish is offered in both temperatures, so a property standardizing across buildings can hold one finish and change temperature per site. Order codes run WP-LED514-30 or -40 plus the finish suffix, for example WP-LED514-30-ABZ for 3000K in bronze.
8) When the LED in a WAC Endurance signage light fails, do I replace the whole fixture?
The LED module is a replaceable, factory sealed light engine rather than a lamp in a socket, so there is no bulb to stock and no relamping cycle. Rated life is 50,000 hours holding 70 percent or more of initial output at end of life. For an MRO group that means the maintenance item is the module, not the housing.
9) Does the WAC Endurance signage light qualify for California Title 24 or Energy Star on a spec?
It is not a Title 24 compliant fixture, it is not CEC listed, and it does not carry Energy Star. If your job is a California project where the outdoor lighting has to come off the CEC appliance database, this head will not satisfy that line and you need a listed alternative. Outside those jurisdictions the ETL and cETL wet location listing is what your inspector will be looking for.

The head measures 5 inches high by 4 inches long, and the backplate is 5 inches. That is the footprint to check against the sign band or soffit you are landing it on, and against the junction box location, before the rods add standoff.
