Low Voltage track fixture offered in a wide variety of styles and finishes for a multitude of lighting applications in residential, retail, commercial and hospitality environments. Available in H, J/J2, and L style track configurations. Built-in transformer has a 1W minimum load and can be installed with an LED lamp.

1) Will the WAC HT-180 track head fit my existing track, or do I need to match the track type?
Track type has to match. The LHT-180 is built for L style track only. WAC makes the HT-180 head in H, J/J2, and L track configurations, so order to your track layout. An L head will not snap into H or J track.
2) Does the WAC HT-180 low voltage track head need a separate transformer?
No separate transformer. The transformer is concealed inside the fixture, so the head runs directly off standard 120V line voltage track and steps down to the low voltage MR16 lamp itself.
3) What bulb does the HT-180 track head take, and is it included?
It takes a single MR16 lamp with a GY5.3 two pin base, either halogen or LED. No lamp is supplied with the non-LED version, so order the lamp separately. The built-in transformer has a 1W minimum load, which is what lets a low wattage LED MR16 run on it instead of a halogen.
4) Can I dim the WAC HT-180 track head, and what dimmer do I need?
It dims, but it needs an electronic low voltage (ELV) dimmer because of the built-in magnetic-free transformer. With an ELV dimmer you get smooth continuous dimming down to 10 percent. A standard incandescent dimmer is not the right control for it.
5) Can the WAC HT-180 track head be used outdoors or in a covered walkway?
No. It is UL and cUL Listed for dry locations only and is an interior fixture. For a covered exterior soffit or any location that sees moisture, you need a damp or wet location rated fixture instead.
6) How much does the HT-180 head aim, and can I relamp it without taking it down?
The swivel arm gives 350 degrees of horizontal rotation and 90 degrees of vertical tilt, so you can aim art or merchandise from a single track run. Relamping is done from the front with no tools, which matters on retail ceilings where you do not want to pull the head off the track.
7) What finishes does the WAC HT-180 L track head come in for matching other heads in a space?
Three finishes: Black (LHT-180-BK), Brushed Nickel (LHT-180-BN), and White (LHT-180-WT). For a facility standardizing across retail or hospitality bays, pick one and reorder by that suffix.
8) Is the HT-180 track head Title 24 or Energy Star compliant for a California job?
The HT-180 is CEC Listed, but it is not Title 24 compliant and not Energy Star rated. On a California project with a Title 24 lighting requirement, this head will not satisfy it on its own.
9) How big is the HT-180 track head, and will it crowd a tight ceiling?
The head measures 5.75 inches in height, 2.25 inches wide, 2 inches long, with a 2.25 inch diameter body. That is a compact accent head, so multiple units can sit close together on one track run without the shades colliding when aimed.
10) What wattage will the HT-180 handle, and does it ship with a lens?
Rated 50W total for one lamp. A clear glass lens is included on the halogen version. The LED version of the head (HT-802LED) comes with the MR16 LED preinstalled instead.
