Function meets durability with this LED 3in inground well light available in 12V or 120V and 2700K or 3000K color temperatures. A mechanical dial at the base provides smooth integral brightness control and the Mini Wall Wash (SKU # 5021) includes a Second mechanical dial to toggle between 2700K and 3000K color temperatures. One sku fits most applications, eliminating the need to choose from dozens of light bulbs with varying light outputs when compared with traditional landscape lights. This wall wash is factory sealed and water tight with an IP66 rating for protection against high-pressure water jets and outdoor elements. Includes a 9in mounting spike for 12V fixtures (120V fixtures require Sku# M6000-STAKE, power stake sold separately), and a 3ft lead wire with two gel filled direct burial wire nuts. Casted using a special k-alloy aluminum that is engineered to withstand the most challenging environments. Solid brass coated in bronze (-BBR finish) is available for enhanced protection against corrosive elements and is recommended for use in coastal or marine environments. 1) Does the WAC 5021 wall wash come with a transformer, or do I need one?
The 5021 is a 12V fixture and needs a separate power supply. A magnetic or electronic low-voltage transformer is required and is sold separately. Input range on the fixture is 9-15V AC, so it tolerates some voltage drop down the run.
2) What is included in the box with the WAC 5021 mini wall wash?
You get the fixture with its integrated LED (no bulb to buy), a 9 inch mounting spike, and a 3 foot lead wire with two gel filled direct burial wire nuts. Transformer is not included, and additional mounting or glare control accessories are sold separately.
3) Can I dim the WAC 5021 landscape wall wash from a wall dimmer?
Dimming on the 5021 is on-board only. A mechanical dial at the base of the fixture sets brightness, so each light is adjusted by hand at the fixture rather than from a wall control. The description also notes smooth continuous dimming with a magnetic low voltage (MLV) dimmer on the system side.
4) Which finish of the WAC 5021 should I use on a coastal property?
For coastal or marine sites, take the -BBR version, solid brass coated in bronze, which WAC recommends for corrosive environments. The black and bronze versions are cast k-alloy aluminum. All three come in either color temperature: 5021-27BBR, 5021-27BK, 5021-27BZ and the matching -30 numbers.
