1) Is the WAC Lighting HT6 track a single circuit or two circuit track?
The HT6 is a 6-foot H track section running a single circuit at 120V. One circuit means every head on the run switches together; if you need separate switching groups on one run, a single-circuit track won't do it. It's hardwired, not plug-in.
2) Will WAC H track heads from another brand fit this track?
The HT6 is H track, which is WAC's own three-circuit-profile-style H system and takes H-series track heads and connectors. Heads built for J (Juno-style) or L (Lightolier-style) track will not seat in it. Confirm the head you're buying is marked H track before you order.
3) Does the WAC HT6 track come with a power feed and end caps?
No. The HT6 is the track extrusion only, listed as not a complete system. To finish the run you also need a power feed (live end or floating canopy feed), end caps, and mounting hardware, plus any connectors for corners or continued runs. Order those separately in the same finish.
4) Can WAC HT6 track be installed in a covered outdoor area or a bathroom over a shower?
No. The HT6 is rated for dry interior locations only. Covered patios, canopies, car washes and shower or tub zones need a damp or wet rated system. Use it indoors on dry ceilings and walls.
5) What finishes does the WAC HT6 6 ft H track come in?
Four: Black (HT6-BK), Brushed Nickel (HT6-BN), Dark Bronze (HT6-DB) and White (HT6-WT). For retail and gallery work, pick the one that matches your ceiling rather than your fixtures, since the track reads as ceiling trim from below. Keep the same finish across sections, connectors and feeds on a continuous run.
6) How much does WAC H track drop below the ceiling?
Very little. The extrusion is 0.66 inch high and 1.38 inch wide over its 72 inch length, so surface mounted it sits about two thirds of an inch proud of the ceiling. That low profile matters in low-ceiling retail and residential installs where a deeper channel would be obvious.
7) Is WAC H track UL listed for commercial jobs?
The HT6 carries UL and cUL listing, which covers both US and Canadian installs. It is also CEC listed. It is not Title 24 compliant and carries no Energy Star or ADA designation, so on a California job the compliance has to come from the fixtures and controls you pair with it.
8) Is WAC H track aluminum or steel, and will it sag on a long span?
The body is aluminum. Aluminum extrusion keeps the section light for overhead work, but track is not a structural member. Support it at the manufacturer's spacing with clips or all-thread stems rather than relying on the feed and end points, particularly on a suspended run over a retail floor.
9) Can WAC HT6 track be mounted on a wall instead of the ceiling?
H track is commonly used for wall washing on gallery and retail walls, and the HT6 mounts the same way. Note it is listed as not reversible mounting, so the channel faces one direction only, and you'll want the head aim worked out before you set the mounting points.
