Low Voltage track fixture offered in a wide variety of styles and finishes for a multitude of lighting applications in residential, retail, commercial and hospitality environments. Available in H, J/J2, and L style track configurations. Built-in transformer has a 1W minimum load and can be installed with an LED lamp.

1) Will the WAC HT-802 track head fit my existing H or J track, or is it L track only?
The HT-802 ordered as LHT-802L is built with an L track adapter, so it only mounts to L style track. The HT-802 head itself is also offered in H and J/J2 adapter versions, so order the adapter that matches the track already on the ceiling. Track adapters are not interchangeable between the three systems.
2) Does the WAC HT-802 low voltage track head need a separate transformer?
No separate transformer is needed. The magnetic/electronic transformer is concealed inside the fixture in a polycarbonate case, so the head runs straight off standard 120V track. Input is 120 VAC, 50/60Hz.
3) Can I use an LED MR16 lamp in the HT-802 track head, or does it have to be halogen?
Either works. The built-in transformer has a 1W minimum load, which is what lets a low-wattage LED MR16 fire reliably instead of dropping out. The socket is a GY5.3 bi-pin ceramic socket for MR16 lamps. The clear lens is included with the halogen version only.
4) Can the HT-802 track head be used outdoors or in a covered exterior walkway?
No. It is UL and cUL Listed for dry locations and indoor use only. Damp or wet exterior locations need a fixture rated for that service.
5) Is a bulb included with the WAC HT-802 track head?
No lamp ships with the non-LED HT-802. You order the MR16 LED or halogen lamp separately. If you want a head that arrives lamped, WAC offers the HT-802LED with a pre-installed LED MR16.
6) How far can the HT-802 head aim for retail display accenting?
The swivel yoke gives 350 degrees of horizontal rotation and 90 degrees of vertical tilt, so you can rotate almost a full circle on the track and drop from straight down to horizontal for wall washing or artwork.
7) Does the WAC HT-802 track head meet California Title 24?
Yes, it is listed as Title 24 compliant and CEC listed, which is what a California job or a state agency spec typically asks for. It is not Energy Star rated.
