WAC Lighting 8.25" WAC LED 120V Grand Accent Light

Function meets durability with the WAC Landscape Lighting LED accent light, available in 12V or 120V in a wide range of color temperature options. A simple twist of the fixture at indexed intervals (15, 30, 45, 60 degree indexes) allows continuous beam angle adjustment from flood to spot while a mechanical dial at the base provides smooth integral brightness control. One sku fits most applications, eliminating the need to choose from dozens of light bulbs with varying beam angles and light outputs when compared with traditional landscape accent lights. 1) Does the WAC 5212 Grand Accent Light come with a mounting stake?
No. The 5212 is the 120V line voltage version, and it does not ship with a spike. The 9 inch spike comes with the 12V fixtures only. For the 120V version you need to order the M6000-STAKE power stake separately. What is in the box is the complete fixture with its replaceable LED, a detachable shroud, 36 inches of lead wire, and two Ideal gel-filled direct burial wire nuts.
2) Do I need a transformer for the WAC 5212 accent light?
No transformer. The 5212 runs on 120V line voltage and wires straight into a hardwired branch circuit, so there is no magnetic or electronic power supply to buy. That requirement applies to the 12V version of this fixture, not this one. It is the reason a lot of commercial and multi-family jobs pick line voltage: no transformer to size, locate, or maintain.
3) Can I change the beam angle on the WAC Grand Accent Light without swapping lamps?
Yes, and that is the point of the fixture. You twist the head at indexed intervals of 15, 30, 45 and 60 degrees to move the beam continuously from spot to flood, across a 10 to 60 degree range. A mechanical dial at the base sets brightness at the fixture. So one part number covers uplighting a narrow column and washing a wide hedge, instead of stocking a tray of lamps in different beam spreads.
4) Is the WAC Grand Accent Light OK in sprinkler spray and coastal salt air?
For wet locations generally, yes: it is factory sealed with an IP66 rating, which covers high pressure water jets, and it carries a Wet location rating with UL and cUL listing. For coastal or marine sites specifically, go with the Bronzed Brass (-BBR) finish. That version is solid brass with a bronze coating for corrosion resistance; the standard castings are a k-alloy aluminum. Order 5212-30BBR for 3000K or 5212-40BBR for 4000K.
5) Which dimmer works with the WAC 5212 landscape light?
Use a magnetic low voltage (MLV) dimmer. The 5212 dims smoothly and continuously on MLV and is not rated for other dimmer types, so specify MLV on the control schedule. There is also an integral brightness dial on the fixture base if you want to trim output at the individual light rather than at the panel.
6) Should I order 3000K or 4000K on the WAC 5212?
Color temperature is fixed at the factory, so pick it when you order. 3000K is the warm white most residential and hospitality landscapes use for planting and facade uplighting; 4000K is the cooler, whiter light typically chosen for commercial frontage, signage and security-oriented lighting. Both are offered in all three finishes: 5212-30BZ and 5212-40BZ in Bronze, 5212-30BK and 5212-40BK in Black, and the BBR brass versions. If you are adding to an existing run, match the temperature already installed.
7) How bright is the WAC Grand Accent Light and how much power does it draw?
Output is 2470 lumens at the fixture rating, with the adjustable range published as 780 to 2150 lumens as you move from spot to flood and trim the integral dimmer. Draw is 13 to 31W (39VA) on 110-120V AC. CRI is 85. For load calculations, size the circuit on 31W per fixture at full output.
8) Does the WAC 5212 meet Title 24 for a California job?
Yes, the 5212 is listed as Title 24 compliant and ADA compliant. It carries UL and cUL 1598 listing with an IP66 wet location rating. It is not Energy Star qualified, so if a rebate program on your project requires Energy Star specifically, this fixture will not satisfy it.
9) Can the LED be replaced in the WAC Grand Accent Light, or is the whole fixture disposable when it fails?
The LED is a replaceable module, not a sealed throwaway head, and it is included with the fixture. Rated life is 50,000 hours. That matters for MRO and property management standardizing a site: you are maintaining a module rather than pulling and rewiring fixtures. The lens is clear glass.
