1) What finishes does the WAC Lighting 5111-27 miniature accent light come in?
Three finishes are offered on the 5111-27 at 2700K: Bronze on Brass (5111-27BBR), Black on Aluminum (5111-27BK), and Bronze on Aluminum (5111-27BZ). The brass-bodied version is the one to specify where the fixture sits in planting beds or near irrigation and you want a brass housing rather than aluminum; the two aluminum versions let you match black or bronze to the rest of the landscape hardware on the property.
2) Can I run the WAC 5111-27 accent light off line voltage, or do I need a transformer?
It is a 12V fixture, so it has to run off a low voltage landscape transformer, not a 120V line circuit. Plan on a 12V landscape transformer sized for the total wattage on the run, with the usual low voltage cable and connectors. Wiring it directly to line voltage will destroy it.
3) What color temperature is the WAC 5111-27 accent light, and will it match my existing landscape lighting?
All three finish versions are 2700K, a warm white. If the rest of the property is on 3000K path and flood fixtures, the 5111-27 will read noticeably warmer side by side, which matters most on a shared facade wash or a run of matched uplights. For accenting specimen trees, statuary, or architectural detail on its own, 2700K is the typical landscape choice.
4) Is the WAC 5111-27 a spot or a flood, and what is it meant to light?
It is a miniature accent light in WAC's landscape line, used as a spot or flood type accent rather than a path or area light. The small body suits close-range work: washing a column, grazing a stone wall, picking out a shrub or a sign. For lighting a walkway surface or a broad lawn area you want a path fixture or a larger flood instead.
5) I need to order replacements to match fixtures already installed on a property. Which WAC part number do I ask for?
Order by the full suffixed number, not the base 5111-27. The suffix is the finish: BBR for bronze on brass, BK for black on aluminum, BZ for bronze on aluminum. Bronze on brass and bronze on aluminum look similar in a catalog line but are different housing materials, so check what is in the ground before you reorder.
