1) Can the WAC Tightrope PD-35246 pendant be installed over a kitchen sink or on a covered patio?
The Tightrope linear pendant is damp location rated and carries ETL, cETL and IP44 certification, so it is fine over a sink, in a covered porch, or a screened outdoor area. It is not rated for wet locations, meaning direct rain or exposed weather is out.
2) What voltage does the Tightrope PD-35246 pendant run on, and do I need a separate driver or transformer?
No external driver is needed. The LED driver is integrated and concealed in the canopy, and it is universal input at 120-240-277V, so the same fixture drops onto a 120V residential circuit or a 277V commercial lighting circuit. It is hardwired, not plug-in.
3) Will the Tightrope LED pendant work with my existing dimmer?
It dims on ELV (electronic low voltage), 0-10V, or TRIAC systems. That covers most standard forward/reverse phase wall dimmers as well as commercial 0-10V controls. What it will not do is run on a magnetic low voltage dimmer, since MLV is not among the listed protocols.
