Build an economical and versatile layered LED Tape light system using Basics or Gemini. Basics & Gemini LED tape lights are easy-to-setup with seamless and scalable run lengths, sharing power supplies and components. Basics LED Tape delivers precision and performance with two selectable power outputs and five selectable color temperatures from warm 2700K to cool 5000 Kelvin. Gemini is a continuous phosphorus (COB) tape that eliminates unsightly diode imaging and great for applications where the LED Tape Light is reflected or in direct sight.

  • Basics LED tape light can be cut in the field every 4in and re-connected with safe and secure connectors. Gemini LED tape light can be cut in the field every 2in and re-connected with safe and secure connectors.   • Smooth and continuous dimming with an electronic low voltage dimmer (ELV), TRIAC or 0-10V (0-10V only available with PS-24DC-U power Supply). 1) What does the WAC Lighting T24-BS-X Flex X connector actually do in a tape light run?
The Flex X connector joins four strips of WAC Basics or Gemini tape light on separate runs while keeping power continuity through the junction. It is the piece you use where a cove or under-cabinet layout breaks into four directions from one point instead of running straight.
2) Can I use this connector in a bathroom or a covered exterior soffit?
It is rated for damp locations, indoor, IP20, and is UL and cUL Listed. Damp covers a bath ceiling or a protected cove. It is not a wet-location part, so no direct water contact or unprotected exterior exposure.
3) What else do I need to order to power a Basics or Gemini run using this connector?
Two paths. With the universal 120-220-277V input supply PS-24DC-U you also need the T24-BS-EX2 lead wire, which is sold separately. With the 120VAC supply EN-BT60 the lead wire is included. The driver puts out 24V DC and is available in a 288W max load.
4) Where can I cut the tape so it lands on the connector?
Basics tape cuts in the field every 4 inches; Gemini COB tape cuts every 2 inches. Set your junction point on the nearest cut mark, then reconnect into the Flex X. Gemini gives you finer placement if the corner has to land tight.
5) How much lead wire comes on the WAC T24-BS-X connector?
Each leg carries 6 inches of wire. That is what you have to reach between the four tape ends, so plan the corner or junction point within that distance before you cut the tape.
6) Does using this connector affect dimming on the run?
Dimming stays with the driver, not the connector. Basics and Gemini dim with an ELV dimmer, TRIAC, or 0-10V, and 0-10V is only available with the PS-24DC-U power supply. Dimmers install on the primary side of the transformer.
7) Does WAC Basics and Gemini tape light meet California Title 24 and ADA requirements?
Yes on both. The system is CEC Title 24 listed and ADA compliant, and it is Energy Star. That matters for spec work in California multifamily and for accessible-route projects where fixture projection is reviewed.
8) Can I mix Basics and Gemini tape on the same system?
Yes. Basics and Gemini share power supplies and components, so the same Flex X connector and driver serve both. Basics offers two selectable outputs and five color temperatures from 2700K to 5000K; Gemini is a COB tape that removes diode dotting where the strip is in direct sight or reflected off a surface.
