1) Will the WAC Lighting HI-PWR I connector work on my existing track, or is it only for WAC H track?
The HI-PWR is an H Track component, so it joins WAC H track sections in a straight run and feeds power at that joint. It is not a universal fitting: track systems from other manufacturers use their own conductor spacing and housing profile, so confirm your run is H track before ordering.
2) Is the WAC H track power feedable I connector hardwired, or does it plug in?
Hardwired, at 120 volts. The I connector is the point where line voltage enters the run, so it needs a supply from a junction box and an electrician on most commercial jobs. There is no cord or plug option on the HI-PWR.
3) Can I use the WAC HI-PWR connector outdoors or in a damp area like a covered entry or a parking garage?
No. The HI-PWR power feedable I connector is rated for interior, dry locations only. Covered entries, garages, canopies and bath areas that see condensation need a damp or wet listed feed, not this part.
4) Does ordering the WAC H track I connector get me a working track run, or do I need more parts?
Just the connector. The HI-PWR is a component, not a complete system, so you still order the H track sections, the heads or fixtures, and any end caps or additional joiners the layout calls for. Plan it as the feed point in a straight-line run and count your track lengths separately.

On an exposed run in a retail or office space that 3/4 inch profile is what a spec reviewer usually wants to know. Mounting is not reversible, so the connector goes on in one orientation.
6) Is the WAC Lighting HI-PWR track connector UL listed for a commercial building?
UL and cUL listed, and CEC listed, which covers installs on both sides of the border. It is not an Energy Star or Title 24 compliant item, so if a California job is being reviewed against Title 24 the compliance has to come from the fixtures and controls on the run.
