1) Will the J2-IPWR connector work on single-circuit or H-track and L-track systems?
No. This is a J-series 2-circuit connector and it only mates with WAC J 2-Circuit track. H and L track profiles use different conductor layouts and will not accept it, and a single-circuit J track run will not use the second circuit this connector carries. Match the connector to the track series already on the ceiling.
2) Can the J2-IPWR track connector be used in a covered outdoor area or a bathroom?
No. It is rated for interior, dry locations only. Damp or wet spots, including covered patios, unconditioned garages and shower areas, need a component rated for that location.
3) Is the WAC J2-IPWR hardwired, and can an electrician feed power through it?
Hardwired, 120V. The I connector is power feedable, meaning branch-circuit wiring can land at this joint to energize the run. It is not a cord-and-plug device, so it needs a junction box and a licensed connection.
4) How much ceiling space does the J2-IPWR connector take up at the joint?
The connector body measures 7 x 1.82 x 1 inches, with a 1 inch height, so it sits close to the ceiling plane and adds about 7 inches of length across the joint between two track sections. Plan your track cut lengths around that so the run still lands where you want it.
5) Is the WAC J2-IPWR connector UL listed for commercial work?
