1) Do I need the left version, or will a right L connector work for my corner?
Handing matters. The LL-LEFT turns the run to the left as you follow the track, and it is not reversible, so it cannot be flipped to serve a right-hand corner. Stand at the end of the existing track facing the direction the new leg will go: if it breaks left, this is the part; if it breaks right, order the right-hand L connector.
2) Can I use this WAC track connector on a covered patio or in a garage bay?
No. The L Track left L connector is rated for dry interior locations only. Covered exterior soffits, patios and wash-down areas need a damp or wet listed system, so this one should stay inside conditioned or otherwise dry space.
3) What voltage is the WAC L Track left L connector rated for, and is it hardwired?
It is a 120V line-voltage fitting and it is part of a hardwired installation, so it needs to be installed by someone working to the local electrical code. It carries UL and cUL safety listings.
4) How much does the L connector drop below the ceiling, and how much corner space does it take?
The body measures 2.75 x 2.75 inches in plan and stands 0.75 inch high, the same height as the track it joins, so it sits tight to the ceiling with no visible drop. Allow 2.75 inches of clearance off the wall or bulkhead at the corner when you lay out the run.
