WAC Lighting WAC-4021-27 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the WAC Lighting 4021-27 step light line voltage or low voltage?
It runs on 12V, so it belongs on a low voltage landscape circuit fed from a transformer, not wired directly to 120V. Plan it into the same 12V run as the rest of the path and step lighting on the job.
2) What color temperature does the WAC 4021-27 vertical step light put out?
2700K across every finish offered, a warm white. If you are matching an existing run of landscape fixtures at 3000K, this one will read noticeably warmer alongside them.
3) What finishes does the WAC 4021 step and wall light come in?
Three, all on an aluminum body: black (4021-27BK), bronze (4021-27BZ), and white (4021-27WT). Bronze is the usual pick against stone or wood risers, white where it has to disappear into painted stucco.
4) Can the WAC 4021-27 be used on a wall, or only on stair risers?
Both. It is built as a vertical step and wall light, so it mounts on riser faces, seat walls, and column or wall surfaces along a walkway. Orientation is vertical, which is what to check against the box you are setting.
5) If I am standardizing step lights across a property, does ordering by finish change anything else?
No. All three 4021-27 versions are the same 12V fixture at 2700K; the only difference is the finish suffix (BK, BZ, WT). You can mix finishes on one property, or one low voltage run, without changing the light itself.
6) Is the 4021-27 rated for outdoor use?
Yes, it is an outdoor landscape fixture from WAC's landscape line, intended for exterior step and wall locations rather than interior accent work.
