1) Can the WAC 2081 inground indicator light run on a standard 120V line, or does it need a transformer?
The 2081 inground indicator light is a 12V fixture, so it has to run off a low voltage landscape transformer. It is hardwired, not plug-in, and comes with a 36 inch lead wire for connecting into the run.
2) Is this WAC inground light safe to install where it will sit in water or get hit by sprinklers?
Yes. The 2081 is rated for outdoor wet locations, carries UL and cUL listing, and is IP66 rated, with a stainless steel body and a clear glass lens. That covers irrigation spray, rain, and washdown around walkways and beds.
3) How big a core hole do I need for the WAC 2081 inground indicator light?
