1) Can the WAC Lighting 2041 inground indicator light be buried in grade and walked on in a wet location?
The 2041 inground indicator light is an outdoor, hardwired fixture rated for wet locations and carries UL, cUL and IP66. IP66 means it is sealed against dust and against water jets, which is what you want for a unit set into grade where irrigation and runoff hit it. The body is stainless steel with a clear glass lens.
2) What size hole do I need to core for the WAC 2041 inground light?
Plan the sleeve around a 2.75 inch diameter body, 3.25 inches tall, with a 1.88 inch width dimension at the fixture. Depth of pour or sleeve should clear the 3.25 inch height plus your wire run.
3) Will the WAC 2041 run on my existing 12V landscape transformer?
Yes. It is a 12V fixture drawing 4W, so a standard low voltage landscape transformer feeds it. At 4W each you can load a lot of them on one run, but size the transformer against your total connected wattage and voltage drop on the cable length.
4) Is the 2041 bright enough to actually light a walkway, or is it just a marker?
It is a marker. At 200 lumens from a 4W LED, the 2041 is an indicator light, meant to delineate a path edge, step, or driveway line rather than wash the surface. If you need usable light on the walking surface, pair these with taller path heads or step lights and use the inground units for the edge line.
5) How much lead wire comes on the 2041 inground indicator light?
Each fixture ships with a 36 inch lead. That gets you from the fixture to a nearby splice, so locate your waterproof connector or junction within about three feet of the sleeve, or extend the run with direct burial cable and a sealed splice.
