1) Will the WAC Lighting Oculux L-7011 track head fit my existing track, or do I need WAC L-track?
The Oculux 7011 head is built for WAC's L series track and will not drop onto H or J track without the correct track system. It is also not a complete system, so the track section, power feed, and end caps are separate items. Plan the run before you order heads.
2) How bright is the 11W Oculux track head, and will it cover retail display lighting?
Each head draws 11 watts at 120 volts and puts out 890 lumens with a 90 CRI at 3000K. That is a warm, color-accurate output suited to merchandise, artwork, and millwork accenting rather than general room illumination. For broad ambient light you would space multiple heads along the run or step up to a higher lumen fixture.
3) What beam angles does the Oculux 7011 track head come in?
Three beam spreads are offered: 50, 30, and 17 degrees. The 17 degree spot is for tight accenting on a single object, 30 degrees suits artwork and shelf sections, and the 50 degree flood is the one to use when you want overlapping coverage down a wall or aisle. Beam angle has to be specified at order time, so decide it with the mounting height in hand.
4) Can I use this WAC track head outdoors or on a covered patio?
No. The Oculux 7011 is a dry location rated interior fixture only. Covered exterior soffits, patios, and car ports need a damp or wet rated head. Keep this one inside.
5) Is the Oculux 7011 track head dimmable and does it meet California Title 24?
Yes on both. The 7011 is a dimmable 120V LED head and is Title 24 compliant, plus Energy Star listed, which matters on California and other energy-code jobs. Safety listing is ETL and cETL for US and Canadian installs.
