WAC Lighting WAC-LLED3020 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the WAC Lighting LED3020 wall wash head fit my existing track, or do I need L-track specifically?
It is built as an L track fixture, so it mounts only on L-series track. H track and J track use different conductor geometry and the head will not seat in them. The fixture itself is not a complete system, so the track section, power feed, and end caps are separate items you order alongside it.
2) Is the LED3020 a spot or a flood? I need to wash a gallery wall evenly.
Flood beam, and it is part of WAC's Wall Wash collection, with a glass diffuser over the LED. That is the right choice for even coverage across a wall plane. If you need a tight accent on a single object instead, look for a spot or narrow beam head in the same L track family rather than this one.
3) Can the WAC LED3020 wall wash head be used outdoors or in a covered exterior soffit?
No. It carries a Dry location rating and is listed for interior use only, so keep it out of damp or wet locations including covered porches, bathrooms over tubs, and exterior soffits. Safety listing is ETL and cETL.
4) What is the light output and color temperature of the WAC LED3020 track head?
1232 lumens from a 20 watt integrated LED, at 3000K warm white with a CRI of 90. Rated life is 60,000 hours and the LED module comes installed, so there is no lamp to buy. The 90 CRI and 3000K combination is what retail and gallery wall washing usually calls for when you need accurate color on artwork or merchandise.
5) Can I dim the WAC LED3020 track head, and what voltage does it run on?
Yes, it is dimmable, and it runs on 120V line voltage. Wattage is 20W per head, which is what you use to size the track circuit and count how many heads a single run will carry.
6) Does the WAC LED3020 track head meet California Title 24, and is it Energy Star?
Both, yes. The fixture is listed as Title 24 compliant and Energy Star qualified, which is what a California project or an energy rebate submittal will ask for. It is not ADA compliant, though, so it is not a fit where a protruding wall-mounted fixture has to meet ADA projection limits.
7) What finishes does the WAC LED3020 wall wash head come in, and what are the part numbers?
Two finishes, both at 20W: black as L-3020W-30-BK and white as L-3020W-30-WT. White is the usual pick when the track and ceiling are white and you want the heads to disappear; black reads better against a dark ceiling or in a gallery.
8) How far does the WAC LED3020 head hang below the track, and will it clear a low ceiling?
The head measures 7 inches in height with a 3.63 inch width and 3.4 inch length, so plan on roughly 7 inches of drop plus the track height when you check clearance in a low-ceiling space or against a soffit edge. Housing is die cast aluminum.
9) Can the LED3020 wall wash head be mounted on track running up a wall as well as a ceiling?
It has reversible mounting, so the head can be oriented either way on the L track run and aimed accordingly. That matters on vertical or wall-mounted track where a fixed-orientation head would point the wrong direction.
