1) Will the WAC HTK-764 track head fit my existing H-type track?
The HTK-764 is an H track fixture, so it mounts on H-system (three-circuit H-style) track and will not seat in J or L track. It runs on 120V line voltage, so no separate transformer is needed.
2) What bulb does the WAC HTK-764 track head take, and is one included?
It takes a single PAR30 lamp, incandescent or LED, rated to 50 watts maximum. No lamp ships with the head, so order lamps separately when you spec these.
3) Is the WAC HTK-764 track head approved for a covered patio or a bathroom with a shower?
No. It is rated for dry interior locations only, so keep it out of covered exterior soffits, open porches and wet or damp bath zones. For those areas you need a fixture carrying a damp or wet location rating.
4) Do I need anything else besides the HTK-764 head to get track lighting working?
Yes. The head is not a complete system, so you supply the H-type track sections, a feed or power connector and any connectors or end caps for the run. The head itself only provides the lamp holder and adapter.
5) Is the WAC HTK-764 UL listed, and does it meet California Title 24?
The head is UL and cUL listed and CEC listed. It is not Title 24 compliant and not Energy Star qualified, which matters if you are permitting a California job to the residential or nonresidential lighting requirements.

Plan for 9.25 inches of height and a 5.21 inch diameter body, with a 5 inch length. On a low ceiling or inside a shallow cove that height is the number that decides it, because it is measured from the track up to the top of the head's travel.
8) What finishes does the HTK-764 track head come in for matching other heads in a space?
Three finishes: Black (HTK-764-BK), Brushed Nickel (HTK-764-BN) and White (HTK-764-WT). Specify by that suffix so a retail or lobby run of heads matches across the whole track.
9) Can the HTK-764 head be aimed up as well as down?
It has reversible mounting, so the head can be oriented for uplight as well as standard downward accenting, which is useful for grazing a wall or washing a ceiling plane from a track run.
