1) Will this WAC Lighting HHT-007L track head fit H-style track?
Yes. The HHT-007L is an H track fixture, so it drops onto WAC H-system (single-circuit) track. It will not seat in J or L style track, which use different conductor spacing, so confirm the extrusion on the ceiling is H track before ordering.
2) Does the WAC HHT-007L low voltage track head come with a bulb?
No lamp is packed with it. You supply an MR16 lamp with a GY5.3 two pin base. Order lamps separately in the beam spread and color temperature the space needs, and count one per head.
3) What dimmer works with this WAC low voltage MR16 track head?
It's rated for ELV (electronic low voltage) dimming, so pair it with an ELV/reverse-phase dimmer. A standard incandescent (forward phase) dimmer is the wrong control type here and is the usual cause of flicker or buzz on low voltage heads.
4) Can this WAC track head be used in a covered exterior walkway or a bathroom over a shower?
No. It's an indoor fixture with a dry location rating only, so damp or wet areas (shower zones, covered patios, unconditioned garages, walk-in coolers) are out. Pick a damp or wet rated head for those.
5) Does the HHT-007L meet California Title 24 and carry a UL listing for a commercial job?
It's UL and cUL listed, CEC listed, and Title 24 compliant, which covers the paperwork for California work and for Canadian installs. It is also noted as ADA compliant. It does not carry an Energy Star qualification.
6) Is the HHT-007L a line voltage or low voltage head, and what does the track need to supply?
It's a low voltage head with an integral transformer, fed from 120V track. That means no separate remote transformer is needed in the ceiling, and it runs on the same 120V H track circuit as your line voltage heads.
7) How far does this track head hang below the track?
The head measures 4.5 inches high by 4.5 inches wide with a 2.5 inch length and a 2.25 inch diameter, and extends to 6.5 inches at maximum height as it's aimed. Allow that 6.5 inches of clearance below the track in low-ceiling retail or gallery runs and where the head sits near a display case.
8) What finishes does the WAC HT-007 track head come in, and can I match existing heads on the same run?
Three finishes: black, brushed nickel, and white. If you're adding heads to an existing HT-007 run, match the finish code on the head you already have. Black is H-7011/3-930-BK, brushed nickel H-7011/3-930-PT, and white H-7011/3-930-WT.
9) What is the housing made of, and is there a lens over the lamp?
Aluminum housing with a clear glass lens over the MR16 lamp. The lens keeps dust off the reflector and contains the lamp, which is why these get specified in retail and gallery spaces where heads sit over merchandise.
