1) Will the WAC Lighting JHT-160LED track head fit J-series track?
Yes. The Range JHT-160LED is built as a J Track fixture, so it mounts to J-type track. It won't seat in H or L track without the correct adapter for those systems, so confirm the track profile already installed before ordering.
2) Does the JHT-160LED low voltage track head need a separate transformer?
No separate transformer is needed. The head runs off 120V track and carries its own low voltage conversion, drawing 8W. Just feed the track with standard 120V line power.
3) Does the WAC Range track head come with the lamp, or do I order an MR16 separately?
The lamp is included. It ships with one MR16-shape LED on a GY5.3 bi-pin base, so there is nothing else to buy to put the fixture into service. If you ever replace it, match the GY5.3 base and MR16 shape.
4) What dimmer works with the JHT-160LED track head?
It's an ELV (electronic low voltage) dimmable head, so pair it with an ELV-rated dimmer. Standard incandescent/forward-phase (TRIAC) or MLV dimmers are the wrong control type here and are a common cause of flicker or drop-out on jobs like this.
