1) Does the JHT-808LED come with a lamp or do I have to buy the MR16 separately?
The lamp ships with the head. It's an MR16-shape LED on a GY5.3 bi-pin base, one lamp per fixture, drawing 8 watts and putting out 450 lumens at 3000K with a CRI of 85. No separate bulb purchase to complete the fixture.
2) Can I use this WAC track head in a covered exterior walkway or a bathroom with a shower?
No. The JHT-808LED is rated for dry locations and interior use only. Covered exterior soffits, canopies, and wet or damp bath areas need a damp- or wet-location-rated head instead.
3) Will a single JHT-808LED order give me a working track lighting system?
No, the head alone is not a complete system. The JHT-808LED is a fixture head only, so you still need the J track sections, a power feed or canopy connector, end caps, and any couplers or connectors for the layout. Order the track and feed components separately.
4) What beam does the JHT-808LED throw, and is it right for retail display or artwork?
Narrow flood. That's the middle ground between a spot and a wide flood, which makes it workable for merchandise shelving, display cases, and accenting artwork where you want the object lit without washing the whole wall. At 450 lumens per head it's an accent light, not general illumination, so plan on multiple heads for broader coverage.
5) How much clearance does the JHT-808LED need below the track?
The head measures 2.75 inches in diameter and width, 6.25 inches in height, and 3.39 inches in length. The 6.25 inch height is the figure to watch for drop below the track run, and the 2.75 inch diameter sets how tightly you can space heads along the track without the shades colliding when aimed.
6) Does the JHT-808LED meet California Title 24 for a lighting permit?
It is CEC listed, but it is not Title 24 compliant and does not carry Energy Star. For safety listings it is UL and cUL. If a California project requires Title 24 compliant luminaires in the lighting schedule, this head will not satisfy that line item.
7) What finishes does the WAC JHT-808LED track head come in?
Two: black (JHT-808LED-BK) and white (JHT-808LED-WT). White tends to disappear against white ceilings and white track, black reads as a deliberate accent or hides against dark ceilings, so match whichever track finish is already running in the space.

Yes, reversible mounting is supported, so the head can be oriented either way on the track run. That helps when you need to aim a line of heads back toward a wall on one side and down onto a display on the other without reworking the track layout.
