1) Will the WAC JHT-809LED track head fit my existing J-type track?
The JHT-809LED is built as a J track fixture, so its adapter is made for J-series track rail, not H or L track. If the track in the ceiling is an H or L profile, this head won't seat on it. The head itself runs on 120V line voltage track, with the low voltage step-down handled in the fixture.
2) Does the WAC JHT-809LED track head come with the lamp, or do I order an MR16 separately?
The lamp ships with the head. It's an LED MR16 with a GY5.3 bi-pin base, one lamp per head, so nothing extra is needed to light it. If you ever relamp, that base and shape are what to match.
3) Can I use the JHT-809LED track head in a covered exterior soffit or a bathroom?
No. The JHT-809LED is rated for dry locations and interior use only, so covered porches, soffits, and shower or tub zones are out. For those areas you need a wet or damp listed fixture.
4) Does the WAC JHT-809LED meet Title 24 or ENERGY STAR requirements for my project spec?
The JHT-809LED is CEC listed, but it is not Title 24 compliant and not ENERGY STAR qualified, and it is not ADA compliant. If your drawing calls for Title 24 compliant lighting, this head will not satisfy that line item. It does carry UL and cUL safety listings.
5) Is the WAC JHT-809LED a complete track lighting kit?
No, it's a head only. The track rail, feed or canopy connector, and any end caps or connectors are separate items, so budget those into the order if you are building a new run rather than adding to an existing J track.
