1) Will the WAC HHT-809LED track head fit my existing H-track system?
The HHT-809LED is an H track fixture, so it mounts to H-type (Halo-pattern) track. It runs on 120V track, with the low voltage conversion handled in the head itself, so no remote transformer is needed. If your track is J or L pattern, this head will not seat.
2) Does the WAC HHT-809LED come with the lamp, or do I order MR16 bulbs separately?
The lamp ships with the head. It is an MR16 shape LED on a GY5.3 bi-pin base, one per fixture, 8W drawing, 450 lumens at 3000K. Replacement later is a standard GY5.3 MR16 LED.
3) What dimmer do I need for the HHT-809LED low voltage track head?
Use an ELV (electronic low voltage) dimmer. The head is rated for ELV dimming, so a standard incandescent/forward-phase wall dimmer is the wrong control and will usually give you flicker or a limited dimming range.
4) Can I use the WAC HHT-809LED track head in a covered exterior walkway or bathroom?
No. The HHT-809LED is an indoor, dry-location-only head. Covered exterior soffits, walkways, and wet or damp interior areas like shower zones need a damp- or wet-rated fixture instead.
5) Is the WAC HHT-809LED acceptable on a California Title 24 lighting job?
Yes. The track head is Title 24 compliant and CEC listed, and it is also ADA compliant for the projection rules that govern fixtures in paths of travel. It carries UL and cUL certification, which covers Canadian installs as well. It is not Energy Star rated.
