1) Will the WAC HHT-808LED track head fit my existing H-type track?
Yes. The HHT-808LED is built as an H track fixture, so it mounts into standard H-system track runs. It runs on 120V line voltage track and steps the power down at the head itself, so you do not need a separate low voltage transformer in the run.
2) Does the HHT-808LED track head come with the lamp, or do I order bulbs separately?
The lamp is included. It ships with one 8W MR16 LED on a GY5.3 bi-pin base, so the head is complete out of the box. If you ever relamp it, that GY5.3 MR16 format is what you match.
3) What dimmer do I need for a WAC HHT-808LED LED track head?
It dims on ELV (electronic low voltage) control. Put an ELV dimmer on the circuit; a standard incandescent/TRIAC leading-edge dimmer is the wrong control type for this head and is the usual cause of flicker or drop-out complaints.
4) Can I use this WAC track head in a covered exterior soffit or a bathroom?
No. The HHT-808LED is rated for dry locations and indoor use only. Damp or wet areas, covered exterior entries, shower zones and unconditioned spaces all need a damp- or wet-rated head instead.
5) Does the HHT-808LED meet California Title 24 for a commercial lighting permit?
Yes. It is listed as Title 24 compliant and CEC listed, which is what a California plan checker asks for on an accent or track circuit. It is also UL and cUL certified for US and Canadian jobs, and ADA compliant. It is not Energy Star rated.
