1) Will the WAC HHT-802LED track head fit my existing H-track?
The HHT-802LED is built as an H track fixture, so it mounts to H-style (Halo-pattern) track runs. It is a low voltage head with the transformer on board, fed from a 120V track circuit. If your ceiling runs J or L pattern track, this head will not seat in it.
2) Do I need to buy a bulb for the HHT-802LED track head, and what lamp does it take?
The lamp ships with the head, so nothing extra to order. It is an MR16 LED on a GY5.3 bi-pin base, 8W, putting out 450 lumens at 3000K with 90 CRI. If you ever replace it, match MR16/GY5.3 in the same 3000K to keep the run consistent.
3) What kind of dimmer works with the WAC HHT-802LED?
It dims on ELV (electronic low voltage) control, so the wall dimmer and any track transformer have to be ELV-rated. A standard incandescent/forward-phase TRIAC dimmer is the wrong control here and is the usual cause of flicker or a dead bottom end on these heads.
4) Can I use the HHT-802LED track head in a covered exterior walkway or a bathroom with a shower?
No. The HHT-802LED is an indoor fixture rated for dry locations only. Covered exterior soffits, canopies and shower or steam areas need a damp or wet rated head instead. It is fine for retail floors, lobbies, offices and residential interiors.
5) Does the WAC HHT-802LED meet California Title 24 for a commercial lighting job?
