It drops into standard residential bored prep: a 2-1/8 inch cross bore and a 1 inch edge bore, with the latch adjustable between 2-3/8 and 2-3/4 inch backset so you don't have to know which backset the door was drilled for. Standard door thickness coverage is 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inches. If your door is thicker, there is a separate 1-3/4 to 2-1/4 inch option you select when ordering.
2) Does the Weslock 7210 privacy lever need to be ordered by hand, and what does right hand mean here?
Yes, this one is the right hand version. Stand outside the door (the side with the emergency pin hole), and if the hinges are on your right, that is right hand. The lever points down toward the latch side, so ordering the wrong hand gives you a lever pointing the wrong way. Weslock lists a left hand counterpart separately.
