1) Does this touchless urinal flush valve need to be wired, or does it run on a battery?
Battery powered, no electrical rough-in and no transformer needed. An 8-year CR-P2 lithium battery comes installed in the valve. For retrofits in an existing restroom where there's no power near the fixture, that removes the electrician from the job entirely.
2) What happens to the Ultima Selectronic urinal valve if the battery dies or the water is shut off?
Fail-safe: the valve closes automatically on loss of power or loss of water pressure, so you don't get a stuck-open valve flooding the floor. There's also a fully mechanical manual override that flushes the urinal with no power at all, which keeps the fixture usable until maintenance swaps the battery.
3) Is this a 1.0 gpf urinal valve, and will the flush volume hold up on a building with variable water pressure?

The Ultima uses DynaClean self-cleaning wiper spring technology, an integral wiper spring that scrubs the refill orifice on every flush to keep it clear. 5) Is this a piston or diaphragm flush valve, and what is the body made of?
