Installation & Operation

  1. Review manufacturer specifications and verify door preparation requirements including door thickness of 1-3/4" and mortise pocket dimensions for proper fit.
  2. Use manufacturer-provided templates to mark mounting hole locations accurately on door stile and ensure proper alignment with strike location.
  3. Prepare door by cutting mortise pocket and drilling required holes per manufacturer specifications for faceplate and cylinder mounting.
  4. Install deadlatch assembly into prepared mortise pocket and secure faceplate with provided mounting screws per manufacturer torque specifications.
  5. Install mortise cylinder (sold separately) and verify proper engagement with MS cam mechanism for smooth key operation.
  6. Test latchbolt operation, bolt holdback function, and handing to verify proper installation and smooth operation throughout full range of motion. Refer to manufacturer documentation for complete installation details and troubleshooting.
