1) Will the Adams Rite 4513 deadlatch fit my narrow stile aluminum storefront door?
That's exactly what the 4513 is built into. It's a mortise deadlatch body for narrow stile aluminum doors, and it's also offered for hollow metal and wood doors. Door thickness is the hard limit: 1-3/4 inches. The other thing to settle before you order is backset, since the lock body is made in 7/8, 31/32, 1-1/8 and 1-1/2 inch backsets and that dimension has to match the cylinder hole location in your stile.
2) How do I measure the backset for an Adams Rite 4513 deadlatch?
Measure from the edge of the door (the latch face) to the centerline of the cylinder hole in the stile. That number has to be one of the four the 4513 is built in: 7/8, 31/32, 1-1/8 or 1-1/2 inches.
