1) Can the Aiphone IE-JA door station be mounted outdoors at an entrance?
Yes. The IE-JA is an exterior rated sub station, carrying an IP33 protection rating and an operating temperature range of 14 to 140 degrees F (-10 to 60 degrees C). The housing is ABS plastic with a stainless steel cover, which is what handles the weather exposure at an entry. IP33 covers spray and solid objects, so a location with some overhead shelter is the sensible install, not a fully exposed wall in driving rain.
2) What electrical box do I need to rough in for an Aiphone IE-JA?
A 2-gang box or 2-gang ring. The IE-JA is a flush mount station, so the box goes in the wall before the finish surface and the stainless cover trims out over it. Tell the electrician 2-gang at the entry and run the intercom cable to it, not line voltage.

7) Can a visitor tell the call button was pressed at night on the IE-JA?
There is a locator LED above the call button, which both marks the button in the dark and gives the visitor a visual cue at the station. For a tenant entry or a lobby door where people arrive after hours, that is the difference between one press and five.
