The JP-DA is a surface mount hands-free auto-voice actuation video door station.

This unit work with the JP Series and connect to the master station using an 18AWG 2-conductor solid core cable. The JP-DA includes a camera, microphone, speaker, and call button. When the call button on the door station is pushed, the inside master station(s) ring and the video screen displays the image from the door station’s camera. The master station initiates communication, and the person at the door station speaks hands-free. The JP door stations can be located up to 330’ from the master monitor using 18AWG 2 conductor solid core cable (Aiphone wire #871802).

1) How far can the Aiphone JP-DA door station be run from the master monitor?
Wire distance on the JP-DA depends on gauge: 300 feet on 18AWG and 165 feet on 22AWG, using 2-conductor low capacitance non-shielded cable (Aiphone #871802). Two conductors only, no shield, no cat cable. If the gate or lobby door sits farther from the monitor location than 300 feet, the JP-DA run won't make it and the head end needs to move closer.
2) Can the Aiphone JP-DA be installed outdoors in a cold climate?
Temperature rating runs -40 to 140 degrees F (-40 to 60 C), and the housing is weather resistant ABS plastic, so it holds up at an exterior entry in northern winters.
