The JTS4414 is a 1/2 inch diameter wedge anchor, so it goes into a 1/2 inch hole drilled with a carbide hammer-drill bit. Wedge anchors are sized so the anchor diameter equals the bit diameter, and the anchor is driven through the fixture hole into the concrete. Overall length is 4-1/4 inches, so drill deeper than your intended embedment to leave room for dust and the bolt tip.

Wedge anchors like the JTS4414 are for solid poured concrete only. The expansion clip needs a solid, uniform base to grip against, so hollow block, brick, mortar joints, and stone are the wrong substrate. For hollow CMU, use a sleeve anchor or a screw anchor rated for block instead.

It is a zinc-plated carbon steel anchor. Zinc plating handles dry interior work and occasional incidental moisture, but it is not a corrosion-resistant finish for permanent exterior exposure, wet wells, pool decks, or coastal sites.
