Arrow E Series Deadbolts

Arrow E Series deadlocks are unsurpassed for value, quality and durability.

Our tamper resistant rotating wrench-proof collar, steel deadbolt with hardened steel pin insert and concealed screws are security features that have made the E Series the most specified deadlock in its class.

Housing: Two-piece housing, with free spinning outer ring to prevent wrenching. Concealed mounting screws standard on double cylinder functions.

Thru-bolting: supplied with two 1/4" (6.35 mm) steel thru-bolts.

Deadbolt: 1" (25.40 mm), solid steel deadbolt throw with hardened steel pin insert.

Backset: 2-3/8" (60.32 mm), 2-3/4" (69.85 mm).

Arrow E61 26D – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the Arrow E Series SFIC deadbolt come with a core, or do I need to supply my own?
It ships less core. The E61 SFIC version is prepped for a small format interchangeable core and accepts 6 or 7 pin cores, including Best or Falcon type cores. So you supply the core and key it into your existing SFIC system. If you want a lock that arrives keyed and ready to hang, the conventional cylinder version comes with a solid brass Arrow A keyway cylinder drilled for 6 pins, pinned to 5, with two keys.
2) Will this Arrow deadbolt fit a 1-3/8 inch door, or is it 1-3/4 only?
Both. The E Series deadlock handles doors 1-3/8 inch to 1-3/4 inch thick as standard, which covers older interior doors and standard commercial doors alike. It's supplied with two 1/4 inch steel thru-bolts for a solid pull-up on either thickness.
3) Will this Arrow deadbolt latch into the strike already in my frame?
The bolt is a 1 inch throw solid steel deadbolt with a hardened steel pin insert, and it ships with the #395 strike pack for metal and wood frames. The standard strike opening is 1-1/8 by 2-3/4 inches, flat type. If your existing frame is prepped for that standard ANSI deadbolt strike, it will engage; a deeper or shallower existing pocket means you use the supplied strike instead.
4) Is the Arrow E61 deadbolt rated for use on a fire door?
It's UL and cUL listed for use on A label or lesser doors, but only when installed along with a rated primary latching device. A deadbolt alone does not make the opening compliant, so the lockset or exit device on that door has to carry the fire rating. The E Series also meets ANSI A156.5 Auxiliary Locks, Grade 2.
5) Can I key this Arrow deadbolt to my existing Schlage keys?
Yes, on the conventional cylinder version. The E Series is available in Schlage C and CS keyways as well as the Arrow A keyway and other competitive keyways, and Schlage C is offered as a keyway option here. The SFIC prepped version takes any 6 or 7 pin small format core, so if your building runs a Best or Falcon SFIC system you just drop in a core cut to your master key.
6) I need a deadbolt for a 2-1/4 inch thick door. Will the Arrow E Series work?
No. The E Series tops out at 1-3/4 inch standard door thickness. For a thicker door, the Corbin Russwin DL3011 cylindrical deadlock covers 1-3/4 inch through 2-1/4 inch, and the Deltana 7312KA2 covers 1-3/8 inch to 2 inch.
7) What is another small format interchangeable core deadbolt if the Arrow E61 SFIC prep less core is not workable?
The Deltana CL200LAIC is a single cylinder deadbolt built for an interchangeable core and supplied without the cylinder, rated Grade 2, with a 2-3/4 inch backset. The Arrow E61 is also a Grade 2 single cylinder deadlock prepped less core, but it is ordered with a 2-3/8 inch backset. If the door is already bored at 2-3/4 inches, the Deltana matches that bore directly.
8) I need a less core deadbolt but at Grade 1 instead of Grade 2 - what should I order?
The Delaney LM Series 301702 is a Grade 1 single cylinder less core deadbolt in dull chrome (US26D). It shares the less core approach with the Arrow E61 single cylinder deadlock, which carries a Grade 2 rating, so the Delaney is the step up in ANSI grade for the same keying strategy.
