1) Will the Arrow E62 deadbolt fit a 1-3/8 inch door, or do I need a 1-3/4 inch door?
Both. The E62 double cylinder deadlock is built for doors 1-3/8 inch to 1-3/4 inch thick as standard, which covers most commercial openings and older interior doors. If you order the small format interchangeable core version, the housing range runs 1-3/8 inch to 2 inch, so thicker doors are handled by going SFIC rather than conventional cylinder.
2) Does the Arrow E62 deadbolt work with a 2-3/8 or a 2-3/4 inch backset?
Either one. The E62 ships with an adjustable backset latch that sets to 2-3/8 inch or 2-3/4 inch, so you do not have to measure the existing bore before you order. The deadbolt front changes with the setting: 2-1/4 x 1 inch at the 2-3/8 backset, 2-1/4 x 1-1/8 inch at the 2-3/4 backset. Those are the only two backsets in general use on bored deadbolts, so the one lock covers both preps.
3) Should I use a double cylinder deadbolt like the Arrow E62, or a single cylinder with a thumbturn?
Key on both sides is what the E62 gives you, and it exists for one reason: a door with glass beside it or in it, where a thumbturn could be reached through broken glass. The tradeoff is egress. Anyone inside needs a key to get out, which many jurisdictions will not allow on a required exit door, so it belongs on storefront back doors, stockrooms, and secondary openings rather than a main exit. If you want a turn on the inside, the Arrow E Series has the same housing in a cylinder x thumbturn function, and comparable Grade 2 options include the Dexter DB2000 single cylinder and the Hager 3115.
4) Is the Arrow E62 deadbolt strong enough for a commercial entrance, and what grade is it?
Grade 2, rated commercial. The bolt is solid steel with a 1 inch throw and a hardened, free spinning steel pin insert to defeat sawing, and the outer ring spins free so a wrench cannot twist the cylinder off. Mounting screws are concealed on double cylinder functions and it thru-bolts with two 1/4 inch steel bolts. For a heavier opening, Grade 1 double cylinder options include the Design Hardware D1 Series and the Dexter DB1000.
5) Will the Arrow E62 deadbolt key into my existing Schlage system?
Yes, if you order the right cylinder. The E62 comes in Schlage CS keyway (CS) or Schlage E keyway (ES) as a 6-pin conventional cylinder, alongside the standard Arrow "A" keyway. Standard Arrow cylinders are solid brass, drilled for 6 pins and pinned to 5, and ship with two brass keys. Pick the keyway that matches the rest of the building and the deadbolt drops onto the existing key system.
6) Does the Arrow E62 take Best or Falcon interchangeable cores?
It does. Order the IC cylinder type and the E62 accepts 6-pin or 7-pin small format interchangeable cores, including Best and Falcon type cores. It ships less cores, so you pin and supply your own from the facility's existing SFIC system. 7) Can I get several Arrow E62 deadbolts keyed alike on one key?
Yes. Keying is a choice you make at order: KD keyed different is standard, KA keyed alike puts a group of locks on one key, and there is a no-cylinder selection for less cylinder orders. 8) My door is thicker than 1-3/4 inches. Can I still use the Arrow E62?

22) Can I use a Codelocks CL200 in place of an Arrow E62 deadbolt?
