The 10EAGLESPACER is a mounting spacer for BEA EAGLE Family motion sensors, used where a door frame or another object below the sensor gets in the way of proper aim. On bi-fold doors the leaves and frame often intrude into the detection field from underneath; the bracket offsets the sensor so it can be positioned and tilted correctly. It is a mounting accessory only, not a sensor.
2) Will the 10EAGLESPACER fit my BEA sensor, or is it only for the EAGLE series?
It is built for the BEA EAGLE Family sensors, including the Eagle and Eagle HM. If the sensor on the header is a different BEA line, this bracket is not the accessory for it.
3) Does adding the spacer bracket change the mounting height range for an EAGLE sensor?
The sensor's own height range still governs the install: Eagle mounts at 72 to 156 inches (6 to 13 ft), and Eagle HM at 156 to 198 inches (13 to 16.5 ft). The bracket is there to clear obstructions and let you set the aim within that range, not to extend it.
4) How much tilt adjustment do I have when aiming an EAGLE sensor on this bracket?
The EAGLE sensor head adjusts 0 to 90 degrees vertically and -30 to +30 degrees laterally. On a bi-fold opening where the frame blocks the field from below, the spacer plus that lateral range is usually what gets the pattern off the moving leaf.
5) Do I need extra wiring or a different power supply when I add the spacer bracket?
No change to the electrical side. The EAGLE runs on 12 to 24 VAC or 12 to 24 VDC, draws under 2 W, and ships with a 96 inch (8 ft) cable. The bracket adds a small amount of offset, so confirm that 8 ft still reaches your controller from the new position before you cut anything.
