Delaney Hardware BD1164 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the Delaney BD116 barn door track kit come with rollers and a door?
No. The BD116 ships as the track and mounting screws only. Hangers/rollers, door stops, floor guide, handle and the door itself are all separate purchases. It is sold this way so you can piece together your own barn door system.
2) What are the dimensions of the Delaney BD116 flat track?
72 inches long, 6 inches, 1-1/2 inches, and 1/2 inch thick. The 1/2 inch flat profile is what your roller wheels ride against, so any hanger you pair with it has to be cut for a 1/2 inch thick flat track.
3) Is the Delaney barn door track strong enough for a solid core door in a rental or commercial space?
The track is steel, which is what carries the load on a flat-track system. Since the hangers are sold separately, the weight rating of the assembly comes down to the roller hangers you pair with it, and the track needs to be lagged into solid framing or a continuous header board rather than drywall anchors.
4) Can I standardize on one barn door track across units with different opening widths?
Delaney's flat track comes in three lengths that share the same style and finish family, so you can spec the 60 inch BD115, the 72 inch BD116, or the 96 inch BD118 opening by opening and keep one look across a building. Order the same finish across the lengths so the hardware matches.
