The DynaLock 5725 Series Power Supply/Charger supplies a
regulated 12 VDC or 24VDC at 1.5 Amps nominal continuous
current. It’s housed in hinged, locking steel enclosure
capable of accommodating one or two optional 7AH or 12AH
lead acid rechargeable standby batteries.

1) Can the DynaLock 5725 power supply run 24VDC maglocks, or is it 12 volt only?
Output on the 5725 is selectable, 12VDC or 24VDC, at 1.5 amps continuous either way. So it will run 24 volt maglocks as long as your total lock load stays inside that 1.5 amp budget, and each of the two lock outputs is limited to 500mA with electronic over-current protection rated to 1 amp. Pick the voltage that matches the locks before you wire anything, since all outputs follow the one selection.
2) How many electromagnetic locks can one DynaLock 5725 power supply handle?
Two locking devices, one on each of the dual Class 2 lock outputs, with 500mA available per output. Both outputs drop on a fire alarm signal, so they suit fail-safe maglocks or electric strikes on a pair of openings. Overall draw across everything, including the 500mA auxiliary output, has to stay within the 1.5 amp continuous rating. For more doors than that, cascade a second 5725; the board has a cascade facility so two or more units release together on the same alarm sequence.
3) Does the DynaLock 5725 tie into the building fire alarm to drop the maglocks?
Yes. It has a supervised input for fire alarm or access control with selectable latching and a reset input, which cuts the lock outputs on alarm. Supervised means a break in that circuit is detected rather than silently ignored. If you need the whole bank of doors to release at once across several panels, the cascade feature links multiple 5725 units to the same alarm sequence.
4) What batteries does the DynaLock 5725 take for standby power, and do I have to buy them separately?
The enclosure holds one or two 7AH or 12AH sealed lead acid batteries, and battery leads come with the unit. Batteries are an ordering option: you can take the 5725 with no batteries, a single 7AH or 12AH at 12VDC, or two 7AH or two 12AH wired for 24VDC. The charger is built in at 1 amp maximum charging current, switches over automatically on AC failure, and load tests the batteries every 48 hours. Match the battery configuration to the DC voltage you are running.
5) Is the DynaLock 5725 power supply UL listed?

7) Can I get tamper switches on the DynaLock 5725 enclosure for a monitored system?
Two tamper options are available at order: a single switch monitoring the enclosure lid, or dual switches monitoring both the lid and the enclosure bottom for wall-pull tamper. The lid is also key locked and ships with two keys. Beyond tamper, the board provides AC failure and battery failure CMOS relay outputs you can run back to the panel, plus AC, DC and battery status LEDs on the door for a quick walk-by check.
8) Can I power a card reader or REX device from the same DynaLock 5725?
There is a separate auxiliary Class 2 output rated 500mA that is not switched by the fire alarm interface, which is where readers, controllers and request-to-exit devices belong. Keep that load plus both lock outputs inside the 1.5 amp overall continuous rating. Note the auxiliary is fixed to the same DC voltage selection as the locks, so a 24 volt maglock job means 24 volt at the aux terminals too.
