1) Does the Emtek 1182 multi point trim include the multi point lock mechanism?
No. The Emtek 1182 Concord multi point trim is plates and handles only. The multi point mortise lock box is not included, so you need the gearbox already in the door or ordered separately. It's swinging patio door hardware, so the trim dresses an existing multi point system.
2) Will the Emtek 1182 Concord trim fit my Andersen or Marvin patio door?
The 1182 is referenced to multi point systems from Atrium, G-U, KML by Andersen, Andersen, Marvin Integrity, Paddock Lockmaster and Superior. It is built for Door Configuration #1, with a 3-5/8 inch center-to-center between handle and cylinder position and the cylinder location below the handle, so match your existing gearbox layout to that before ordering.
3) What door thickness does the Emtek Concord multi point trim work with?
1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inch doors. Backset is adjustable between 2-3/8 and 2-3/4 inches, and the cross bore is 2-1/8 inches. There is also an optional door thickness field at order time if your slab is outside the standard range and you need spindle length confirmed.
4) Do I have to specify handing on the Emtek 1182?
Yes, handing is required. Order right hand (RH) or left hand (LH). Stand outside the door: if the hinges are on your right, it's a right hand door. Getting it wrong means the lever and plate orientation won't match the opening.
5) How big are the Concord plates on the Emtek 1182?
The Concord plates measure 2 x 10-1/2 inches in solid brass. That's a fairly narrow plate, so check your patio door stile can take a 2 inch wide escutcheon with the 2-1/8 inch cross bore centered in it.
6) Do the levers come with the Emtek 1182 trim set, or are they separate?
Levers are part of the set, but you pick the style when you order. Lever style is a required selection.

Emtek's multi point trims now ship with a Spring Assist function that returns the lever to neutral, which is what prevents the drooping handle you see on older patio door trim. It's built in, nothing extra to order.
8) What finishes can I get the Emtek 1182 Concord trim in to match my other door hardware?
Eight finishes: Oil Rubbed Bronze (US10B), Satin Nickel (US15), Pewter (US15A), Flat Black (US19), Polished Chrome (US26), Polished Brass Lifetime (US3), Unlacquered Brass (US3NL) and French Antique (US7). Unlacquered brass will patina over time; the lifetime polished brass will not.
9) Is the Emtek 1182 suitable for a commercial opening?
It's a residential product. The Concord multi point trim is made for swinging patio doors in homes, not for commercial openings where you'd be specifying an ANSI grade. For a commercial entry, look at a Grade 1 mortise lockset instead.
10) What kind of latch faceplate comes with the Emtek 1182 trim?
Round or square corner faceplate, so it can match the existing mortise pocket in the door edge rather than forcing you to recut. Square corner is common on wood patio doors, round corner on drilled-and-routed preps.
