1) Does the Emtek 1234 Tuscany multi point trim include the multi point lock itself?
No. The Emtek 1234 is trim only, so you get the plates and handles and nothing else. The multi point mortise lock box is a separate purchase, and you need to have it (or already have it in the door) for this trim to do anything. Plan the order around the lock body you already have in the slab.

Configuration #2 is the non-keyed setup: fixed handle on the exterior, operating handle on the interior. That combination is for the semi-active (inactive) leaf of a French or patio pair, the door you normally keep shut and only open when you need the full width. The active leaf, the one you enter through every day, needs a keyed configuration instead.
3) Will the Emtek 1234 line up with my existing multi point lock spindle and cylinder holes?
The plate is drilled on a 3-5/8 inch center-to-center between the handle spindle and the cylinder hole, with the cylinder position above the handle. Measure your existing gearbox prep the same way. If your multi point box uses a different CTC, the plate will not line up. Emtek references this trim against BiltBest, G-U, Hurd (Energy Saver) and Andersen multi point doors.
4) What do I have to specify when ordering the Emtek 1234 trim?
Four things. Finish, either Flat Black Bronze (FB) or Medium Bronze (MB). Lever style, from Medici (MD), Napoli (NA), Octagon (OCL) or Padua (PD). Handing, right or left. And door thickness, which is an optional note field but worth filling in so the spindle length suits your slab.

Yes, handing is a required selection, right hand or left hand. On a semi-active leaf the exterior handle is fixed and only the interior lever operates, so the trim is built for one swing direction and cannot be flipped in the field. Determine the hand at the door before you order.
