Emtek 1625 Multi Point Lock Trim (Door Config #6) - Sandcast Bronze Plates, Arched Style (2" x 10"), Dummy Pair

Configuration #6 describes where the cylinder sits relative to the handle and the spacing between them. On the 1625 the cylinder is below the handle with a 3-5/8 inch center-to-center dimension. Measure from the middle of the handle spindle hole to the middle of the cylinder hole on your existing multi point lock; if that comes out at 3-5/8 inches with the cylinder below, the plate lines up. A different spacing or a cylinder above the handle means a different Emtek configuration number.

Milgard and Pella are the reference door manufacturers for this trim's configuration. It's surface mount with no door prep required, so it lands on the existing multi point lock holes rather than needing new machining. Confirm your door's handle-to-cylinder spacing is 3-5/8 inches with the cylinder below the handle before ordering, since both makers used more than one lock layout over the years.

A dummy pair is trim on both faces with no working latch behind it, so nothing retracts and nothing locks. On a pair of swinging patio doors, the active leaf gets a functioning multi point handleset and the inactive leaf gets this dummy trim so both sides look identical. If you need the door to actually latch and lock, the dummy is the wrong part. The 1625 dummy carries no keying and no electronics.

Handing is required on the order, right hand or left hand. Stand outside the door, on the side you'd approach from: if the hinges are on your right, it's right hand. Even though a dummy has no latch, the plate and lever are cut for one side, so a wrong call gives you a lever pointing the wrong way. On a pair, order handing to match the leaf the trim goes on, not the active leaf.

1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inches, which covers standard residential swinging patio doors. Door thickness is a field you fill in on the order so the spindle and through-bolts come the right length, so measure the leaf and state the actual thickness rather than leaving it blank.

Three things are on the order form. Finish: Flat Black Bronze, Medium Bronze, or Tumbled White Bronze. Lever style, ten Sandcast Bronze options, Aurora, Bryce, Cimarron, Cody, Durango, Lariat, Mariposa, Montrose, Teton, and Yuma. And handing, right or left. Door thickness is an optional text entry worth filling in. Any Sandcast Bronze lever pairs with the arched plate, so you can match whatever lever is already running through the house.

The plate measures 2 x 10 inches in the arched profile. It's surface mount, so it sits on the face of the door over the existing multi point lock cutouts rather than requiring fresh prep. Whether it hides your old trim depends on the footprint of what's coming off, so measure the existing plate and the visible screw holes against 2 x 10 inches before you pull it.

It's a residential product. The 1625 is swinging patio door hardware in sandcast bronze, meant for homes and residential units, not for commercial entrances that need graded, cycle-tested hardware. Property managers doing multi-family patio doors are in scope; a storefront or a school corridor is not.

No cylinder comes with the 1625, and it isn't keyed. It's a dummy set, so there's nothing to key. If the plate on the active leaf takes a cylinder, the configuration is built around an American standard cylinder mounted below the handle, so a mortise cylinder of that type is what suits the lock body. Keying belongs to the active handleset and its lock, not to this trim.

Solid bronze, sandcast, through the substrate rather than a plated coating over something else. Flat Black Bronze, Medium Bronze, and Tumbled White Bronze are living finishes on sandcast bronze; they move with handling and weather on an exterior patio door. If you want every leaf to look alike five years on, order all the doors in one finish at the same time.
