1) Is the Emtek 2411 doorbell a wired button or does it have its own chime?
It's a lighted push button and plate only, wired into an existing bell or chime circuit. There's no chime, transformer, or receiver in the box. If you're replacing a button on a working doorbell system, this drops onto that low voltage wiring; if you're starting from nothing, you still need the chime and transformer.
2) What finishes does the Emtek 2411 Tuscany bronze doorbell button come in?
Two: Flat Black Bronze (FB) and Medium Bronze (MB), ordered as 2411FB and 2411MB. Both are lost wax cast bronze, so if you're matching entry sets, hinges, or door knockers on the same opening, match to the Tuscany bronze finish family rather than to a plated brass finish, which will read differently in daylight.
3) I want a different rosette shape than the #11 in the same Tuscany bronze. What are my options?
Tuscany lost wax cast bronze doorbells come in four rosettes: #11 (2411), #12 (2412), #14 (2414), and #15 (2415). Same button and construction across all four, so the choice is purely the shape of the plate at the door. If you want a longer plate instead of a rosette, the STRETTO plates are 1-1/2 x 5 inches (2440) and 1-1/2 x 11 inches (2441).
4) Is the Emtek Tuscany bronze doorbell suitable for a commercial building entrance or an apartment complex?
Emtek lists the 2411 as residential. It's a cast bronze decorative button for a house or a townhome entry, not a graded commercial device. 5) What is the Emtek 2411 doorbell plate actually made of, and will it hold up outdoors?
Solid bronze, lost wax cast, in either Flat Black Bronze or Medium Bronze. Cast bronze is a living finish outdoors: it darkens and develops patina with exposure and handling rather than staying uniform, which is the point of the Tuscany line. If you want a finish that stays exactly as shipped, bronze isn't the material to pick.
6) I have an Emtek doorbell already but a different collection. Can I mix a Tuscany button with American Classic hardware?

If the rest of the entry is a bronze collection, stay in bronze; if it's a plated brass or nickel collection, the Tuscany bronze won't match it.
