1) Does the Emtek 2415 doorbell come with the push button, or do I order that separately?
The 2415 ships as a complete unit: the Tuscany bronze plate with the #15 rosette, a lighted push button, and matching screws. The screws are not sold on their own, so keep them with the parts if the install gets staged. You are wiring it to your existing chime and transformer, not buying a chime here.
2) I want the doorbell to match my Emtek rosettes. Which Emtek doorbell do I order for a rosette other than the #15?
The 2415 is the Tuscany lost wax cast bronze doorbell with the #15 rosette. The rest of the Tuscany rosettes are their own model numbers: 2411 for the #11, 2412 for the #12, and 2414 for the #14. Other Emtek families run on separate numbers again, for instance 2400 for American Classic with the regular rosette, 2421 through 2425 for Sandcast Bronze #1 to #6, and 2431 to 2433 for Wrought Steel. Pick the number that matches the rosette on your knobs and levers rather than trying to change the rosette on the doorbell.
3) Can I replace an existing doorbell button with the Emtek 2415 without changing my chime?
The 2415 replaces the button only. It carries a lighted button on a bronze plate and wires into the two conductor low voltage run already at your door, so the existing chime and transformer stay in place. What to check before ordering is the footprint of the old plate: this one has a #15 rosette plate, and if the button coming off was a larger rectangular plate it may leave paint or siding shadow around the new one.
4) Is the Emtek 2415 doorbell button lighted, and does that mean it needs its own power?
The button is lighted, and the unit is classed as electronic. A lighted button draws its current from the same low voltage bell circuit already feeding your chime, so there is no separate supply to run, but there does need to be a transformer and chime on the circuit for the lamp to sit across.
5) What finishes does the Emtek 2415 Tuscany doorbell come in?
Two: Flat Black Bronze (2415FB) and Medium Bronze (2415MB). Both are the same lost wax cast bronze body, so the finish choice is purely about matching the entry set and other exterior trim on the door.
6) Is the Emtek 2415 bronze doorbell suitable for a commercial building entrance?
It is a residential product. For an apartment or condo unit door, a single family entry, or a boutique hospitality suite it is the right kind of part. For a commercial main entrance where you need a rated or vandal resistant button, this decorative cast bronze plate is not what to specify.
