The 7243 Concord plate is a narrow trim set built for 1-1/4 inch door preps with 3-3/8 inch center-to-center hole spacing, and the cross bore is 2-1/8 inch. That is a different prep from a standard bored lockset, so on a door already bored for a round rose set the narrow 1-1/2 x 11 inch plate covers a different hole pattern. Check the existing prep against 3-3/8 inch c-to-c before ordering.
2) Do I have to specify handing on the Emtek Concord narrow trim lockset?
Handing is required, right hand or left hand, and it is a hard requirement when you configure a lever. Levers are handed because the return has to point toward the jamb; a knob set is symmetrical, but the order still asks for the hand. Get it wrong and the lever sits upside down on the door.
3) Which backset do I order for the Emtek 7243, 2-3/8 or 2-3/4 inch?
