1) Can the Progress Lighting P5230-31 spot light run on line voltage, or does it need a transformer?
It runs on 12V only, so a low voltage landscape transformer is required. The fixture is hardwired and comes prewired with a 72 inch lead, which you splice into the 12V run from the transformer. Wiring it to 120V line voltage will destroy it.
2) Does the P5230-31 landscape spot light come with a bulb?
No lamp is included. It takes one MR-16 halogen lamp up to 50 watts, 12V, so order lamps separately. An LED MR-16 rated for 12V low voltage will also seat in the socket as long as it is within that wattage ceiling.
