It will run a single 350W pulse start metal halide lamp carrying the M131 ANSI code. Match the lamp's ANSI code on the lamp end stamp or carton before installing. An M131 ballast will not correctly start or run a probe start lamp of the same wattage, and it drives one lamp only.
2) Will this ballast physically fit inside my existing HID fixture housing?

No. This is a non-dimming magnetic HID ballast, and metal halide lamps also need a restrike cooldown after any interruption, so switching it off a motion sensor leaves an area dark for several minutes. If the facility wants dimming or instant restrike on a lighting retrofit, that is an LED conversion decision, not a ballast selection.
6) Is this Advance ballast rated for outdoor pole and wall pack fixtures?
