1) How does the Nibco 775-LF companion flange connect to the pipe, threaded or soldered?
The 775-LF is a female NPT thread on one end and a flange face on the other. You thread it onto male NPT pipe and bolt the flange to your mating flange, so it is the adapter between a threaded run and a flanged connection such as a pump or valve. No soldering is involved on this fitting.
2) Will the Nibco 775-LF flange bolt up to a Class 150 flange on a pump or valve?
Yes. The 775-LF is a Class 150 companion flange, so its bolt circle and bolt hole pattern match other Class 150 flanges of the same nominal size. Match the size (2, 2-1/2, 3 or 4 inch) to the mating flange and use a gasket between the faces.
3) I need to flange a copper line, not a threaded one. Is the 775-LF the right part?
No. The 775-LF has female NPT threads on the pipe side, so it takes male threaded pipe only. To flange a copper tube run directly you need the solder-end companion flange version instead, or thread an adapter onto the copper line first and then use the 775-LF.
4) What pipe sizes does the Nibco 775-LF bronze companion flange come in?
Four sizes: 2 inch (B51530L), 2-1/2 inch (B51535L), 3 inch (B51540L) and 4 inch (B51545L). Order by the nominal pipe size of the threaded run you are adapting.
5) Do bolts, nuts, or a gasket come with the Nibco 775-LF companion flange?
The 775-LF ships as the bronze flange body alone. Bolts, nuts and the flange gasket are separate and need to be ordered to suit the Class 150 pattern and the size you are joining.

The 775-LF is made from Silicon Performance Bronze alloy and is dezincification resistant, which is the failure mode that cracks and crumbles ordinary yellow brass in aggressive or high-chloride water. That makes it a better choice than standard brass for those systems.
